Hamilton Military Watch

Once in a while one should look for a classic timepiece. Not only because they will always be stylish but also for durability. Durability and style are combined in this Hamilton MIL-W-46374B,Military Watch which was exclusively distributed to the US Army from the 70's till the beginning of the 80's. Nowadays lots of brands have made copies of original military watches (think of Timex) but nothing beats the original vintage watches which are easy to recognize via the incription in the back of the case. This watch is for example from 1983! Get yourself one on Ebay for approx. 180 USD.

Canvas shoes

Canvas shoes were allready used back in the 40's to replace the thick and heavy leather boots in summer. This summer you have to grab a pair of these because they look good and are very cheap. I grabbed these of KEDS in a selvation army store for 3 dollars!

Vespa 150 VBB

The Vespa 150 VBB was produced from the early sixties till 1979. The round curves of this motor are superb and form the basis of various imitations made by piaggio during the 1980's and 90'. These Vespa's are very hard to find especially when one truly desires an original one. However, some are for sale on sites of specialists like the Vespa Lifestyle Store, www.myvespa.com
Another superb and even more rare Vespa is the Vespa Acma. This motor with the headlight just a few inches of the front wheel is truly a landmark in motor design. This design is replicated in Vespa's GTV "Via Montenapoleone" which is currently produced in a limited series. Check www.vespa.com for further photo's.

Vintage Sattler Army Bags

The Swiss Army Bag

I recently found an vintage Swiss Army bag made by Sattler in Germany. This small company started in 1937 with the fabrication of solid bags. During the forties and the fifities, the company produced army bags which became notorious for their durability. The fact that these bags can be found in a good shape these days is therefore no surprise. All bags made are stamped with a Sattler mark and some bags have even the name of the soldier printed in the tag. A bag like this one is therefore a must have! One can find these on ebay for around 30 to 60 dollars.
